Teaser Tuesday

I know, I know... the writing here sucks, but I thought this was an interesting piece, I just happened to read it as I scrolled down to the bottom of my Word Document to continue writing. Just thought I'd share it with you since I haven't posted in almost a MONTH :O

SO SO SOOOOO SORRY! Once again... school... I HAVE to blame it...

so here it goes... oh btw... this is an old piece (almost at the beginning of the story)... (and Alazard is dead... he dies shortly after this entry... just felt I had to tell you this...)

And for those who don't know... Avid is a Tormentor, created by Lieunidous, the god of Torment, but he's not exactly evil... not even slightly, thus he is a threat to the god as he may be the key component to kill the god of Torment... and a lot of people hate him because he's a Tormentor, including all the gods, even the one who made him... which kinda sucks... hehe

“I understand, I’ll tell you everything…” Alazard began, “Demetri had once been a great empire, but since the god of Torment wanted his people’s lands to expand, Lieunidous created the Tormentor.”

“Lieunidous is the only god?”

“No, there is Parcassis, god of Triumph, whom most Parcians worship. Catalina is the god of Fertility and Othello is the god of Richness. The Monastarious folk also have a god, Mona, whom doesn’t exist.”

“They worship a god who doesn’t exist?” Avid asked chuckling.

“Yes, it is a shamefull thing really.” Alazard explained, “There are only four gods, therefore they have none.”

“Why don’t they worship another god?”

“You’re born into religion, Avid. The gods each chose an empire over two thousand years ago. Back then there were thousands of cultures, but the four gods only chose one for them each. Cultures collided and fought, but soon realized they had to merge or they would soon feel the power of the gods, so only five remained. The Monastarians did not choose a god, but created one, themselves. If your father’s culture was Parcian then you’d have no other god than Parcassis, the other gods won’t heed your prayers… and betraying your god would most likely get you killed.”

“Like me?” Avid asked nodding his head.

“Yes, exactly like you.”

“You said that my dad’s culture would decide my religion, right?” Avid asked, “Then does that mean that my dad was a Lieudorian?”

“You have to understand this, Avid.” Alazard spoke, “Because you are a spawn of the god of Torment, you don’t have parents.”

Teaser Tuesday

This is my Teaser Tuesday for today before I'm off to bed, hope you enjoy it- it's not great, but it's something at least. :P

He opened his eyes. It was dark. His feet shot down, towards the ground and his sneakers made a soft sound when it hit the carpet. He was in a room, a familiar one, but not the one he fell asleep in.

Their old, big television set was as dark as it had almost always been. He seldom watched TV these days.

He curled his back in order to see the front door: making sure he shut it after the pizza arrived. The pizza was ice-cold and so was he.

Reluctantly he urged his disappointed body upright, putting the pizza into the microwave.

He listened to it pop every now and then, removing it only to find it still slightly cold. He never usually ate pizza like that, but his disappointment got the upper hand of him.

He plunged onto the couch effortlessly, eating his pizza unpleasantly.

Was it all a dream? Avid glanced at the clock above the fireplace. It was only half past eleven at the time. His few hours in Alucard played in his head, just like the dream before it had.

A sudden knock on the door startled Avid back to reality. His heart throbbed, his skin tingled and his knees felt weak.

“Hey Av- Whoa! Trick or treat?”

It was Fredrik; the most trustworthy person on earth and Avid’s best friend.

“Wh-what?” Avid asked dimly and very confused.

“The makeup and the horns- oh and the eyes too? Those contacts look like real fire! Where’d you get them?! I could get some too and we’ll scare up the whole-”

Avid turned around, making his way toward the mirror mounted on the side of the stairs. His reflection looked just like him, except for the two black-brown horns, the scratches on his face and the eyes he could now suddenly feel incinerating his eyeballs.

“Fredrik,” Avid said, shooting his head back toward his friend, “come in and close the door. I have something to tell you.”

Fredrik did as he was ordered and followed Avid into the living room, sitting down on the lazy-boy couch across from him.

“What I’m about to tell you, you can’t tell anyone, you understand that?”

“Yeah,” Fredrik said unsure, “sure… You know me, I won’t tell a soul.”

Avid hesitated and Fredrik’s face began to demonstrate signs of worry. There was a short awkward silence between the two friends before Avid finally spoke.

“I had this dream.”

SO, SO, SOOOOOOOO, SOOOOOORYYYYYYY!!!!

I'm extremely sorry for not posting in over 18 days... it's been real hectic... and if not posting is bad enough, I haven't written anything in a week- until now!

I am glad to announce that I have reached 12 000 words! Chapter 6 is basically done AND I got a SNI (Shiny New Idea) the other day, which changed today and which is just an idea still- I want to finish TORMENTOR, first!

I'm also starting a new blog for: Ghost Hunting, a guide for teens to start this hobby.

You can find this blog at: Ghost Hunting: a guide for teens

Back to the writing topic: I might start writing my new SNI as I go on my real ghost hunt sometime soon :D

What better way to know the feelings and fears of a ghost hunter when I'm doing it myself??? *prepares to die*

Anyway, I won't take this long to post EVER again.. hopefully

See you guys tomorrow night for a Teaser Tuesday!

Just for fun, could everyone reading this please post a comment? Even just to say hi? I want to make sure my comments are working fine (I had errors posting and commenting from another computer I was using). Thanks

COMMENT ERRORS ARE FIXED

Thanks to Cupofdice on Absolute Write Forums, you're all able to post comments again!

Today's Theatrical Thursday is: Public Enemies AND Boogeyman 3!

We'll be starting off with the scary stuff first ;) because it's my favorite (yes, I absolutely love horrors)

Okay, Boogeyman 3 wasn't as SCARY as everyone else made it seem... though my one friend who watched it with me two days ago, almost punched me in the face after I scared him 5 minutes into the movie... which means: for some it's really, really scary :D

The movie has an age restriction of 16 for nudity, violence and language - I advise parents to not let kids younger than 16 watch this movie. If you're afraid of the dark or something grabbing your feet while you lay awake, freaked out by your own appearance in the mirror as you try to sleep, then DO NOT watch this movie.

This beats, The Grudge 1 & 2 by far, The Ring is child's play and Chucky: Child's Play, turns into a comedy. If you couldn't watch any of these listed above, then Boogeyman surely is not for you as it is 100 times more gory and 100 times more evil.

One point I do want to make is: The girl playing the main character is HOT- and so are many of the other girls in this movie who are spied upon while undressing the girl's locker room.

The movie takes place in a collage dormitory (sorry for the people living in those at this moment). Previously one girl's dad was a psychologist at a medical clinic where people feared the Boogeyman, and he too started believing. Slowly-
or fast- the boogeyman killed most (if not all) of the people in the clinic.

Now he wrote in a diary, which his daughter discovered and read, making her believe in the boogeyman. She then, in turn, went to her friend (the main character) who then started believing in the boogeyman after the first girl gets
killed by the hands of the boogeyman himself and she just happens to witness it.

Scared and confused the main character has to deal with fear as she lays sleepless in her bed, fearing what may lurk in her closet- or worse... under her bed ;)

Public Enemies was not as good as I thought it would be... the storyline wasn't that great and it lasts 2 hours and 15 minutes (approximately)... which is way too long for this movie.

Though the acting was really really good and the actors were really really convincing. Johny Depp = the perfect guy for the main character!

The movie is about a bunch of bank robbers who are chased by the authorities and Johny Depp lands himself the title of Public Enemy Number One.

In desperate attempts, after most of his allies had either died or been arrested, his last heist is with a crew he normally would NEVER deal with and it turns out devastatingly wrong...

The movie has a lot of bullets flying, deaths, betrayal and love, so if you love these or just the fact that it plays of in the early 1900's, then this movie is for you :)

Thanks for joining me on this fine day!
See you tomorrow! (remember to comment :D )

I BE LEGAL!

Excuse the title, I know it's wrong, but I BE LEGAL!!!

That's right, I just turned 16 today! *is very excited*

It's no big deal, but birthdays are always fun and exciting, no?

------------------------------------------------------------
In other news: I just got a breakthrough in TORMENTOR! My plot just took the amazing twist it needed to make the storyline more interesting :D I'm so happy!

So I have exactly 6 days to write as much as I can before school starts again (it ended like a week ago, so it sucks that we have such short vacation time, aye?)

Wish me luck, I will need it, but for now, I'm going out with my parents for some foodzorz :P

Tomorrow on the other hand, fun fun fun with my friends :D

See you again tomorrow, hopefully, for a Teaser Tuesday!

TORMENTOR

Believe it or not, but I made the header of this blog all by my own! (except the flames...)

The "letters" above spell TORMENTOR, but it's in another language (the one in my book of course)

That's probably (if I can have my say) what the cover page might look like, but with the real word in normal letters written somewhere below it :D

I know I'm getting carried away with it all and I may not even get published, but I can have fun can't I?

Which brings me to Funny Friday: (I've got some Confucius Sayings for you)

Man who run in front of car get tired.
Man who eat many prunes get good run for money.
Baseball is wrong - man with four balls cannot walk.
War doesn't determine who is right, war determines who is left.

Theatrical Thursday- The Proposal

So I just watched the movie- The Proposal

I know it's kind of old, but I only viewed it now... See, I was under the impression that The Proposal is, or rather was, a "Chick-Flick", but turns out, it's fun for the entire family- except for the partial "nude" scenes which would obviously not be suitable for children under the age of 10 (I think).

First off, the movie is GREAT! It's funny, it's exciting, it's emotional and on top of it all it's sort of about writing!

Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds are the perfect people for this film: They act great (no seriously, the acting was phenominal- outstanding to say the least) and they're not too bad looking? The story behind it all is actually so funny, but at the same time it's devestating the lives of the characters.

Just to give you a bit of background about the movie:

The Proposal is about Andrew Braxton (Ryan Reynolds, playing the Editor's Executive Assistant) and Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock, the Editor herself and boss of Andrew).
She has an expired Visa (originally she's from Canada) and is deported, though she devises a "great" idea: She'll force her Assistant to marry her...
He grudgingly accepts BUT he has one condition: She promotes him to Editor at Colden Books.
The government suspect their marriege is a scham and they investigate...
Andrew and Margaret are sent to Alaska to meet his quirky family and the always-in-control city girl finds herself in one comedic fish-out-of-water situation after another.
With a wedding in planning and the government on their trails, these two set out to reach their own personal dreams and vow to stick to the plan, no matter what the consiquences may be.

So there you have it- The Proposal. I'd recommend this movie to anyone, it's great.

I give it 9/10 !

So if you want to see an Assistant (Ryan) grabbing his boss's (Sandra) ass, then this movie is for you! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did :D
